He was definitely driving fast, I remember that. I like to imagine that if a cop did pull him over, Donnie would have explained he'd just gotten his draft notice and needed to clear his head, and the cop would have said, oh, okay, and he would have walked away without giving him a ticket. Sometimes, you just gotta drive fast to get away from the stresses and strains and disappointments of your life. And few things can be more exhilarating than riding in a fast car.
