Elizabeth Taylor’s life story, triumphs, foibles, scandals, and tragedies sort of overtook her life, but her fame was actually built on a track record of very outstanding performances in excellent films. Particularly a series of films in the late 1950s and early 1960s. It’s long past time for all of us to take Elizabeth Taylor seriously as an actress and artist.
