My Darling Clementine on DVD for Rent

Favorite movie of all time?

It's a toss-up between She Wore A Yellow Ribbon and My Darling Clementine. Many of the great western actors were in these movies: John Wayne, Ben Johnson, Walter Brennan, Ward Bond, Henry Fonda, and many more.

Which movie or TV show reminds you of your childhood?

The Sting, Jaws, Star Wars, etc. My family and I would go to a Saturday matinee and see a new movie. These were a few of the classics among many.

Go-to genre on movie night?

I don't have a go-to genre; I have go-to actors. Any film with Paul Newman, Robert Redford, James Stewart, John Wayne, Steve McQueen, Henry Fonda, etc. Current actors would be Daniel Craig, Matt Damon, etc.

What movies or TV shows could you watch endlessly?

Tombstone, Field Of Dreams, The Natural, The Shawshank Redemption, & My Darling Clementine.

Favorite movie quote?

From The Shawshank Redemption by Andy Dufresne which true in both film and life:

“I guess it comes down to a simple choice, really. Get busy living or get busy dying.”

Favorite director?

Any John Ford-directed Western is a favorite. The actors, scenery, and stories behind a John Ford film are outstanding. The Searchers, She Wore A Yellow Ribbon, My Darling Clementine, etc. All classics, all phenomenal!

Which comedy scene makes you LOL?

From the Dudley Moore movie Arthur, when Arthur is confronted by the father of his fiancé in the back of the church. "He's taking the knife out of the cheese! Do you think he wants some cheese?!" Arthur exclaims to his girlfriend/mistress Linda.

If you were stuck on an island, which five movies would you want with you to pass the time?

  • Butch Cassidy
  • The Sting
  • Cool Hand Luke
  • My Darling Clementine
  • Cast Away (I'll need a few pointers on survival!)
