If you’ve received a new red envelope in the last couple of weeks, you’ve seen the new mailer contest. We’re tallying your votes to determine the top movies of all time! In addition to voting on the #BestDVDEver, you have a chance to weigh in on the #BestLeadingLady, #BestLeadingMan, and #AllTimeMovieLine.
You rent a lot of movies, and we want to know which ones are your true favorites. They may not be the most critically acclaimed (and might even be straight up critically panned), but they’re the ones that make you laugh, cry, and watch them over and over again.
With the help of our super computers, we’ve been tallying the votes. We’ve now reached the end of the first month of voting, so drumroll please for the leaders so far!
Top 3 for #BestDVDEver:
(The next two in the running are Gone with the Wind and Forrest Gump! People didn't specify which one, but Star Wars was also among the top answers.)
Top 3 for #BestLeadingLady:
Timelessness, beauty, and talent – the ladies at the top have it all!
Top 3 for #BestLeadingMan:
Versatile, strong, and unforgettable often describes the men leading the pack.
Top 3 for #AllTimeMovieLine:
- "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." – The Princess Bride
- "The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return." – Moulin Rouge
- "To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women." – Conan the Barbarian
All the races are tight, so your vote counts! Post your lists on social media with hashtags #BestDVDEver, #BestLeadingLady, and #BestLeadingMan to tip the scales in favor of your picks. Remember, every month, we're choosing five lucky participants as the winners of DVD.com swag packages.
