DVD: You’ve been a DVD Netflix customer since 2004. What inspired you to join?
Jean-Benoit: I simply love to watch movies! In the past, before DVD Netflix, I was sometimes going to the movie theater every night. DVD Netflix has enabled me to access more movies. The queue is set up so that you place movies in there that you want to see, and because there are so many options, sometimes you forget what film might be next! Every so often, a movie comes by surprise that is so special that you almost want to keep it. With no late fees, there’s no problem to watch it a second time.
DVD: Take us inside your house for movie night! How does your family celebrate a new red envelope in the mail?
Jean-Benoit: I love to watch certain movies with my kids and my wife, and to help them discover movies that I have liked in the past. Movies allow us to stay together, and have our family movie moment. I try to organize so that we have enough movies for the weekend. I have a little daughter who is five and a half; she makes the movie tickets for the family. My bigger son prepares the movies. I tell him, “Okay, prepare the movie!” And he’ll tell us when it’s ready. So we’ll watch the previews, and so on, and then the sound comes on, the title, and we all come and watch the movie.
DVD: What are some of your favorite DVDs of all-time?
Jean-Benoit: You have different sorts of DVDs—the DVD to watch alone, the DVD to watch with the one you love, and DVDs to watch with family and friends, where you make an evening out of it. However, ten was too difficult! Here are my top twenty favorite movies instead.
