Movies are fun to watch, but it is extra fun when you watch it with your bae at home. You can avoid the long lines, overpriced concession food, and the potential of bringing home bed bugs. Rent movies from DVD Netflix and avoid the hassles of going to the theater!
It can be a challenge to choose a movie to watch together. Each person has their own tastes and thoughts on what makes an interesting movie. This is why I recommend choosing three movies to watch together. You each pick your own favorite, then choose a movie you can watch together. Relationships are about compromise.
Whatever you choose to watch, make sure it's something you will both enjoy. Movies were created to entertain us. Some movies make us laugh, while others make us cry. You will know what will draw you closer on the couch.
So browse the library and have some movies shipped to your home. Plan your movie date nights in advance! Meanwhile, check out my suggestions below.
Before Steve Carell became Gru in the Despicable Me series, he entertained us in The 40-Year-Old Virgin. Steve plays Andy Stitzer, an amiable guy who is way too accommodating to his friends. At the age of 40, he lives alone and spends hours playing video games and collecting action figures.
It's no surprise that Andy has never been intimate with anyone, so when they find out, his friends make it a priority for Andy to lose his virginity. However, Andy has other plans and has set his sights on a local shop owner and single mom named Trish.
Charles (Hugh Grant) and his friends experience several failed relationships until they get it right. His life changes when he meets a beautiful American named Carrie (Andie MacDowell) at a wedding. Carrie is graceful and stylish. Charles can't resist her magnetism and becomes enamored with her. They have one intimate night that ends when Carrie returns to America.
Will they meet one more time? Possibly! You must watch the movie and see. There are four stories in this movie that are entertaining and a joy to watch.
If you love movies with a culinary theme, then you're in for a treat. The Hundred-Foot Journey focuses on the life of Hassan Kadam (Manish Dayal). He's a culinary prodigy that wants to obtain a Michelin star for his creative dishes. After experiencing a tragedy, he manages to overcome his loss by being driven to be one the best culinary chefs in the world.
This movie is a tearjerker, but it is well worth watching. It is based on a real-life event. The RMS Titanic was a British passenger liner that struck an iceberg in the North Atlantic Ocean on April 15, 1912. The ship was making a maiden voyage from Southampton to New York City. It had over 2,224 passengers and crew aboard when it sunk. 1,500 people died. The film Titanic is a 1997 American film. It focuses on the romance Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Rose (Kate Winslet), who were members of different social classes. They fall in love aboard the ship during its ill-fated voyage. Make sure you grab a box of tissues before you watch it.
Suburbanites Phil (Steve Carell) and Claire (Tina Fey) have fallen into a routine. They attempt to ignite the spark in their relationship by visiting a trendy Manhattan bistro. They receive more than they hoped for when their identities are mistaken and they’re thrust into a world of corruption.
Jamie (Mila Kunis) and Dylan (Justin Timberlake) make a pact. That pact is to be intimate with each other with no entanglements. This is a recipe for disaster because there's risk that one person will want more.
Henry (Adam Sandler) becomes infatuated with Lucy (Drew Barrymore). But a big problem is her short-term memory loss; she can't recall anything that's happened in the past 24 hours. Each and every day, Henry has to court Lucy like it's the first time. This leads to several comedic and touching scenes.
Kat Ellis (Debra Messing) feels like time is running out on her hopes to meet Mr. Right. Her sister's wedding adds to the frustration when she realizes she may have to attend it alone. This prompts her to recruit a boyfriend in the form of a male escort, Nick (Dermot Mulroney), for the event because her ex-boyfriend will be in attendance. Get ready to laugh because there are so many hilarious scenes to choose from.
This movie is one of the best romantic comedies that I've watched to date. It does have serious tones, but it's a good balance between comedy and serious. The movie is based on a novel by Deborah Moggach. If you think romance doesn't exist past the age of 60, then you definitely need to watch this film. It was directed by John Madden. The sequel, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2015), wasn't based on a novel but is still entertaining and continues to show how the characters have evolved.
Sam Davis (Michael Angarano) is mourning the loss of Zoe (Uma Thurman). Not because she passed away; it's over her upcoming nuptials to her long-term boyfriend Whit Coutell (Lee Pace). Sam crashes the wedding in an attempt to rekindle their relationships. Will he succeed? You must watch the movie.
Thank you for checking out my list of couple’s movies that I believe you will enjoy. Until next time!
